Sean Christopher Gallery will be introducing Liberia-native and Columbus-based artist Karji Jimi Weah to the Central Ohio art scene. The artist will be displaying “Satisfied”, his first solo exhibition which is set to include some thirty collectible black and white drawings. Each rendered piece is a celebration of Weah’s humility and African upbringing.
Jimi’s original drawing entitled “Satisfied” was recently selected, reproduced and installed at 1359 N High St (corner of King & High in the Short North) as part of “One World”, a new Temporary Short North Mural Series showcasing the diversity of global artists and their experiences. The original work will be included in the artist’s solo show at Sean Christopher Gallery.
This District-wide Special Event plans to feature artworks by ten participating galleries plus a self-directed ‘walking tour’ for visitors to view the newly installed ‘One World Temporary Mural Project’.
Artist Statement:
“A lover of silver is not satisfied with silver nor is the lover of wealth with income. As for me, I am satisfied with what little I have.” - Karji Jimi Weah
